We’ve had some pretty cold weather lately, with snow and freezing temperatures. If you managed to winterize your RV with antifreeze beforehand, you should be in good shape. Once the temperatures warm up, simply flush out the antifreeze, and your system should be good to go.

If you didn’t get a chance to winterize your RV, now’s the time to check for potential damage. Start by connecting water to your camper and inspecting your fixtures. Common problem areas include toilet valves, shower valves, and sink valves.

Notice your fresh water tank filling up and overflowing for no reason? That’s usually a sign that your water pump froze, damaging the internal check valve.

If you discover leaks or other issues, bring your RV in for repairs. For the DIY enthusiasts out there, RV South has all the parts you’ll need to fix any cold-weather damage. Stop by and see us at 401 West Franklin Street in Sylvester.
